UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW
Leiden University was founded in 1575 and is one of the leading international research universities in Europe. The University has seven faculties and a campus in both Leiden and The Hague. Leiden University consistently ranks among the best universities in the world by prominent international ranking tables, being placed in the top 50 worldwide in thirteen fields of study in the 2020 QS World University Rankings. In the 2022 ShanghaiRanking it is ranked 3rd in the world in Public Administration, 12th in Medical Technology, 22nd in Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, 40th in Political Sciences and 49th in Library & Information Science.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Summer School Program in Leiden prepares our students for life as a student in the Netherlands. Also, the program offers tours around the biggest and most beautiful cities in the Netherlands, such as Zaandam, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and the Hague, organized events in clubs and bars, and learning languages courses. The program starts in the Summer of 2024.
City tours
The tours are fully organized by us, with a provided guide, busses to the city and back, and accommodations. You will be able to enjoy the beauty and the diversity of the Netherlands through the eyes of locals and learn about a completely different culture. Our tours will try their best to make you fall in love with the Netherlands if you are not already.
Language Courses
Every student needs to be able to communicate freely with others. The main goal of the language course is to prepare students for the academic and high-level spoken language required for every university. The courses are held every day, except for the weekends, by professional, certificated teachers.
Organized events
Everyone needs some time to rest and have fun. It is difficult to find a place where to go, especially in a new city. That is why, every weekend, we will find and organize parties and gatherings, social activities, and games. Attendance is not obligatory, but if you feel like partying and having fun, we will provide everything for this need.
